The Frey-Sohler estate is the story of several generations closely linked to Scherwiller and Alsace wine. The estate extends over the communal appellation ‘Scherwiller’ and the Rittersberg terroir, at the foot of the majestic Ortenbourg Castle, which watches over this magnificent vineyard. The Frey-Sohler estate produces all the grape varieties of Alsace, from Sylvaner to Gewurztraminer, including the communal appellation ‘Scherwiller’ (Riesling), Rittersberg wines, Frankstein Grand Cru, Crémant d'Alsace, Vendanges Tardives and Sélections de Grains Nobles. Souvenir shop and tasting cellar open every day except Sunday. Our Crémant Riesling is currently a three-star ‘Coup de Coeur’ in the prestigious Guide Hachette 2026. Numerous gold medals, including our Vin Orange 2024, our ‘Communale 3 Scherwiller’ 2022, as well as our Crémants Blanc de Blancs and Crémant Rosé. HVE-certified estate (High Environmental Value) and member of the Interprofessional Charter ‘Accueil en Caves d'Alsace’ (Welcome to the Cellars of Alsace).
