Due to the Red Alert for a heatwave and the risks that the persistent extreme heat poses to the health of visitors and staff, the European Community of Alsace has decided to close Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle on an exceptional basis from 1.00 pm on Thursday 25 June (last admission at 12.00 pm) until Sunday 28 June 2026 inclusive. Please note that tickets purchased in advance are valid for one year from the date of purchase. To walk through the gates of Haut-Koenigsbourg castle is to plunge into the world of the Middle Ages.And by visiting the castle on your own and discovering the route at your own pace, you will fully enjoy the monument, its riches and its details.
